Spent last weekend fishing the Kolan River and managed quite a few nice whiting and plenty of crabs but the hightlite of the weekend was tangling with this king salmon on Sunday morning.
I didn't get a weight but it measured 1.02m.
I'm guessing it was around the 8kg mark or may be a bit better.
Caught it on a live mullet.
A mate was fishing the same area on Saturday (i was anchored about 20m away) and he hooked and lost a good Barra that i reckon was close to the 1m mark.
Can't wait to head back there again for another go.
