Hinze Dam

Greetings all,

I was just wondering if anyone has fished Hinze in the last couple of weeks? I have not been down there for a couple of months and was just wondering if it is worth a dig currently. It was fishing alright back then. The other options is to just stick to Maroon Dam.

Yeah went up last weekend very different dam now. Trees everywhere. Got a couple of bass in the open water not near the edge like I thought I would.

I fished Hinze yesterday afternoon with a mate. It has changed heaps with lots of submerged trees not much in the way of open grass/weed beds in the shallows. We just had a bit of an explore and trolled the edges from the western boat ramp towards the wall as best we could with rapala X-Rap XR08's. We boated 5 bass and dropped another 2 in 3 hours. Biggest went 35.5 so not huge, but still good fun.

All in all it was a worthwhile trip.
