well i need 2 hand held units for my kayak. i want to talk to my partner on her yak, while im on mine but it makes sence to get vhf just in case.

i can get the GMR3689-2CK for $100 or MHS050-2 for $200

but whats the difference?

i have seen fluro yellow ones which would be nice but cheaper the better
