B164 with HDS 10

I'm about to get one of these transducers, is anyone running one with the lowrance hds 10 unit???? Been waiting for a 585 but need this set up pretty quick in the meantime, how have others found them???? Install looks pretty straight forward, going into HH 650r, any other tips or advice greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Have B164 in a HH 700L hooked up to HDS 8. Straight forward install and setup in the list of transducers in the HDS. The huge hole to cut is the only difficult task and tightening the large retaining nut requires some thought. I welded up an open end spanner from flat steel to get where I needed.

I cannot judge performance as I need to travel out about 100kms before the depth goes over 100 metres and that is rare. I still have the HDS transducer on and change plugs now and then to compare screen. In all honesty, there is not much difference in quality under 100 metres. Over 100 and the B164 will come into its own on high level of preformance.
