well done mate nice to see a report from the dam
Had both Barra 1 and Barra Queen from the 26th to the 29th with a total of 14 blokes and 6 boats fishing. We missed our annual trip last year due to the flooding and this year the dam having pretty much twice the amount of water made our usual haunts hard to find if they were still above water level!! Overall weather was bad, rained for the whole time, wind picked up at times and was not very comfortable. Fortunately this didn’t slow the drinking or the catties!!!
1 Barra was hooked but lost boat side on the last night we were there and that was all the action we got from the barra this year. On the other hand the redclaw played the game with over 50 being caught, some of the biggest I have seen before as well. Plenty of smaller ones around along with some medium sized ones carrying babies which is good to see.
Will post some photos once I get them.
Cant wait for next year to get back up there and give it another shot!

Looks like the guides at both dams must be going hungery next summer might be better and the year after once the smaller fish get bigger and the water drops a bit.
Also running up there in October for a guys trip with around 6 boats too, just hope we go a little better
Life begins when you get one!!!
