Seaforth Fishing Spots

Hi Guys

I have been to Seaforth near Mackay a couple of times fishing without any luck at all. Have ventured all around Newry, Rabbit Islands and tried many what look like good fishing spots. I have only managed a few Sweetlip and Grunter.

Can anyone tell me about some good spots or is this area just fished out as there is always alot of boats around everytime I have been there.

Well Tezza, I think you may have Seaforth all worked out. Not much around at all. I live here and there are always alot of boat trailers at the ramp(victor). I have noticed alot of the boats launching dont have rods just pots. The peps in the area are saying they are getting an average of 6 barra a week in/around st helens ck. Havent seen any myself. Plenty muddies , let em soak for the weekend check daily. Avg 8-10. Good luck
