1st time at wivenhoe

Hi guys,

First post ever. I'm heading to wivenhoe dam tomorrow and wanted know which area's are good for yellow belly and what lures/bait work best. I'll be fishing on the land too.

How did you go Brad? Last an only time of fished Wivenhoe Dam we nailed about 70 catfish over a 24hr period, pre- flood.

We went up to billies bay, i got hooked up what we believe was a big yellow belly ( as it done a nice roll to the side on the surface ) but it broke me off on a snag : ( Other than that we have only caught catfish.

Tuesday we checked out the park near the start of the Big w flood wall and got zip, it didn't help that we had a strong breeze coming into us. Though when we check out around captain/logan campsite i did see fish strikes on the water but only caught catfish.
any idea's???
