    Re: LNP Fishing policy

Yer Matt,it does make you wonder, theres nothing chissled in stone yet just what they want to do or say they will do, just broad statements wanting to commite without commiteing, a bit like the show...yes minister....they have less than 3months to tell everyone what they are going to do, and lets face it the canerdates are just the face of there party, its the advisers that were the pants and tell them whats good and whats bad as far as policies go.

I thought you were in the loop Timmi, MP Mark told us all that policy has been dropped since Campbel "my house has been carbon neutral since 2009" Newman took over the LNP, new policy on the way soon apparently.

It never changes over the ages:

what is the purpose of a policy:

just substitute 'fishing' for defence, etc classic comedy and still relevant and i loved this one about a lie and clear answers

Oi Mike. You've been watching Yes Minister on telly too I see.

Amasing how a comedy about politics resembles real life politics.
I've watched Question Time a few times to see what's the go and it too could be a comedy if it wasn't so serious.
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

    Re: LNP Fishing policy

Vote for the same bozo's = same bozo policies / lies.Trouble with the LNP and ALP is they both sway towards the Greens if it means winning the election. Yes this applies to the ALP much much more than the LNP; but the only reason Howard suggested carbon pricing before he was ousted is because he was trying to win the Green votes (in vain of course). Only reason “Can Do” supports Gay Marriage and all things Carbon Neutral is because his voter base in the latte inner city Brisbane that is the same voter base that has kept Cpt Blight in power and her ALP for the last 20yrs. Win Brisbane, you win the State election. Same goes for many of his Brisbane MP’s. The whole Civil Union thing was a ploy to split the country verses city LNP vote. It had very little to do with morals on Andrew Fraser’s part (or lack of).

So with that in mind, what WILL be the LNP fishing and lifestyle policies?? My bet is they will still appease the Greenie leaning inner city Brisbane vote. Win Brisbane, win the state election. That’s why the LNP got rid of two non-Brisbane LNP leaders. Brisbanites won’t vote for a nonBrisbane Premier. The polls show this, despite a totally corrupt and inept ALP.

Personally I am voting Katter (I'm on the sunny coast),followed by the Fishers and Shooters; then LNP; then ALP; then Watermelon(Greens) last. For the record I have always voted LNP in the past, despite the LNP giving me dead beats like Slipper year in and year out.

Can't say I agree with all things Katter says or does - but neither can I say the same about the others. If I want to vote for a perfect politician I will go to Church and learn about Jesus (well - the Greens think they are as perfect....)

While we effectively have a two horse race with the LNP v'sGreen-ALP why will things change?

Katter has policies which state that he will look after my fishing and shooting lifestyle. He is "conservative" - yet also protectionist for our agriculture and industry. Like him, I can't see the"level" playing field for all the hills that our industries have to"compete" with (eg Euro & US subsidies, slave labour rates in Asia, fixed Chinese currency etc etc). What happens to my kids when we can no longer "dig it up and sell it" (which will happen within the next 40 -70 years)???

Both the LNP / ALP will flog off our public assets to pay for the debt, rather than laying off useless non-producing public “servants”. Unity Water will be next to go – that’s why they created it and have jacked up prices - to get a big fat price for it.

At least if Katter wins enough seats he may pull the LNP towards a more a logical path (I mean – what is “right” or “left”anymore???), just as the Greens pull the ALP towards the Leftard/communist side of politics.

I see Mark has said here "don't do it - hung parliament".Yes that could happen, but it couldn't be worse than what we have now. When Mark says "hung Parliament" he is alluding to the Federal Parliament, where the Green Watermelon's, along with an ex-communist party member, backstabbing PM controling the state of affairs.

If Katter holds the balance of power in QLD, such a hung parliament would be vastly different to that of Federal politics where the GreenWatermelon rules. Be brave – try someone different. Someone who calls a spade a spade and doesn't give a rats what his critics think.

    Re: LNP Fishing policy

are you serious frogfuzz about Katter being conservative..the bloke is red through and through. Look at his latest policy / idea about forcing the Reserve Bank to lower interest rates..talk about inteference and stupidity. Based on that alone I could not vote for the bloke at either State or federal level. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would see that as an economic disaster.

That policy alone - forcing the central Bank - would take us back God knows how far. It is the dumbest idea there ever was. THAT is a policy designed to appeal to the Voter with absolutely no sense to back it up. None.

    From CanDo Campbell's own website
His CanDo Council team also spearheaded the change to 100% use of green electricity and created the greenest local government authority in Australia.

There is such a thing as sensible and useful and helpful green unlike the GREENS as a shut it up and lockem out party.

    Re: LNP Fishing policy

i wondered a while back whether mr katter had bitten off a little more than he could chew and would end up going the way of pauline hanson. i do believe that the man's heart is in the right place but there's his more socialist tendencies on some issues (such as interest rates) should be well avoided.
