sounnder interferance

Im getting really bad interferance on my lowrance sounder its only just started since fitting an etec on my boat all cables are seperated i tried a inline noise fillter as well, the only way i can get around this problem is that i run my sounder on a seperate battrie which is not connected to the motor.

Your power supply cable is connected to a supply after the battery? Or is it connected to the battery the Etec is connected to? I run my electronics of a dedicated non-cranking battery to avoid A running the cranking battery down and B to absorb and power spikes from the motor charging the main battery.

does your motor run resistor type plugs? if not put some in, this may help with any interference.
