I am not voting as it wont allow you to put more than one fish species. I don't have any single species that I favour above all else.
The fish I love to target are : Black Drummer, flathead, bream, luderick, marlin, kingfish, mulloway, snapper, australian bass, yellowbelly, yellowfin tuna.

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

I selected CORAL TROUT, but I had a PEARL PERCH the other night and if there's a better eating fish, I haven't found it yet...maybe King George whiting?
Ah bugger! This is just a thread with poll about fish species.
When I saw the heading, I was expecting to see a name like Elvis Perch, or Johnny Flathead, or Freddy of Queenfish fame, or Ringo the drummer, or Jimmy Bass, or ????
There appear to be some chicks in the list who I don't know. Coral Trout and Sara Toga? Are they good lookers???
Red Emperor? Was he that bloke from Skyhooks?
Likewise for Murray Cod, Bill Fish and Mac Kerel. What band were they in?
...and was Lu Derick the bloke who was once married to Bo?
I just cannot keep up with the entertainment industry like I used to.
At least I remember that Barry Mundi used to be in Yothu Yindi. I am certain about that one.
.
Flathead and whiting
You guys forgot about Grinners
Charlie, you forgot Tim Brook-Tailor.
Jack.
Yeah. I lose track of them all after a while.
Like, wasn't Cat Fish that singer of Greek origins who changed his name to Yusuf Islam.
...and Barry Cuda, the bloke who sang, "I write the songs that make the whole world sing" but did not actually write that song at all?
Likewise wasn't E.E.L that band that did all that symphonic rock stuff in the early 1970's?
None of us could forget the great songs that Marlin Gaye wrote and performed, of course.
Likewise, Of course, we all know who Johnny Ray was.
I have always loved music. All sorts really. Remember that lovely lyric by Jim Reeves? "Put your sweetlips a little closer to the phone ..."
..or the great jazz that came out of that terrific Sydney jazz group from the late sixties, the Jelly Fish Big Band.
Unfortunately, after attending all of those loud night clubs, sound lounges and pub cabarets in my youth, I am now a bit short of herring.
.
Toga for me ....................... cant wait to see the bag limit on them
I'm a land based fisho so Bream or whiting are definately my choice, I enjoy catching flathead as well but they are a little too fidley to get in the pan and there's barely any meat on them anyway. I catch the odd other species like tailor and flounder regularly but gotta love the good old reliable bream and whiting.
Moreton Bay - Flathead, Whiting, Tuskies, Squire, Mackerel
Offshore - Snapper, Dollies, Pearlies
Land Based - Flathead, Bream, Tailor
Best I like Eating? Flathead fillets, crumbed whiting, Dolly, coral trout, pearlies
Mike
Nothing runs harder than the Bone Fish.... Next favorite for me is the Mangrove Jack, bang it hits, then pull like hell.
