G'day fello fishos, with the perfect conditions staring me in the face again I couldn't resist hitching the boat up and heading out to my marks around Mud Island. Left Manly around 6am and started flicking the plastics around not long after. The favourite plastic of the day was the Gulp 3" Grub in banana prawn colour on a 1/16th. jighead 2/0 hook. Lots of bait fish around and pelagic action around today as well but the fish went off the chew early when it glassed out entirely and there was little run in the tide. I headed in shallow and teased a few of the nursery fish before heading back in content with my new PB landed at around 9am measuring at 83.5cms.

It might be a while B4 you better this one Andrew, well done. Took you long enough
BTW, I think your hooks have shrunk a size since I saw you last, they were 3/0 Gammas last time we made some

Thanks mate. Cooking as I type.
I will always try to beat it but not sure how I will go. The fun is in the trying.
Here's hoping Tim. Looking forward to the trip and giving it a go.
Thanks Silent. Hope you are still getting into a few these days too.
Thanks Scalem. This report was done in such a hurry I just knew there would be at least one mistake in there. Trust you to find it. Lol. Okay yes you are right. They are in fact 3/0 hooks.
Thanks Greg. I get the occasional post in. The last Mud trip was also a successful outing with two 81cm models. The perfect pair.
Yeah I was happy with that chief. Thanks.
Cheers Ben. Hope we do okay on Saturday when we head offshore.
Gee Horse. I have not done the R2M in ages. That temptation just has not been there for a long time.

Great fish Andrew, well done mate,
I'm not having much luck lately, water full of slime today, plastic's were covered in no time
Hoping for it to clear soon.
Cheers,
John.
Congratulations on an awesome snapper! Did you get any other legals out there?
Great to see someone was able to get out and make the most of the conditions!
Cheers,
Matt
