Murf, yeah I'll work on the wire after I've renewed vehicles front and rear suspension and brakes....all day job maybe 2 days with no hiccups.

Muzz, would be good to know if those blighters are starting to thicken.

Going to try another tackle shop for the wire of less thickness.

What day are you going on the w.e muzz?

Gday Mark, been meaning to ask you how all the moving went,
we need to catch up for a few cold & bubblies.

If the weather dont turn to crap, I was hoping that Sunday might be worth a look,
(I hope I am working Saturday)
no early starts or long journeys, just a quick run out to the FAD (about 6 miles from the bar),
& not planning to fish before about 8am when the jackets wake up.

No plans set in stone as yet Matt.....how does everyone feel about the weekend after the 7th?
    (weather permitting)

    Dear jacket hunters !,
Im a commerical fishermen from Brunswick Heads and thought this would intrest you guys they seem to be a little late this year and we were all hoping that they wouldnt come but ....

Quick update guys the jackets were thick today for the first time this year off bruns but only 40fathom out at this stage , In saying that there is nothing shorer that they will be moving all the way into 20Fathoms in the next day or two but more then likely the little yellow and grey ####ers would be in there now ...
Happy fishing Catch your limit and up grade and chuck the dead ones back !! just keep thinking mass kill mass kill mass kill (Jokes dont cyber bash me) lol

Thanks for the info crab man,

is pretty sad that we are getting so excited about jackets.....has been a hard year to fish as rec,
If the bastards are thick at Bruns then Ballina should be alive with them,
dont worry, we do our duty & only keep the big ones,
all others are carefully released after bouncing off the side of the boat.

Still cant believe we're going out to target jackets...wish i had of known earlier I would of kept a few salmon as bait....I released quite a few into the freezer year before last....After the initial couple of feeds, they migrated under the snapper/jew and pearlie fillets..........that reminds me I wonder if jackets eat jacket fillets...course they do they eat bloody everyting.
