Evans or Brunswick. Evans is about halfa to the south and Bruns is about 45 (I think) to the north.
onerabbit (Muzz),
Would it be viable to use a different bar crossing if Ballina is dodgey?
Cheers. Bondy

Mattooty,
Brunswick bar is a mongrel at the best of times also, Sounds like Evans is better than Brunswick
will depend on the swell direction... anything from the south and evans is a great bar all 3 can be very dangerous bars
I was going to suggest that we keep Evans as a second choice for the outing,
anyone who wants to give Bruns a go can do so without me,
it's more dodgy than Ballina.
Iguess it's time we decided when everyone would like to go jacket hunting,
I know thatMurf is busy on the 7th,
how how about we make a tentitive arrangement for the following weekend??
That would be the weekend 13-14?? (weather permitting)
If Ballina Bar turns to crap we will have to follow Stonecold to his secret jacket spot in Evans,
or get a starter mark if he cant come.
Either way they wont be hard to find,
last weekend we had so many follow up the hooked fish that my mate just lowered his trace into the water & caught a jacket without letting any line go......that's as thick as I have ever seen them.
Matt & Ben, I recon you guys should get onto Oscar-Byron (Dean), this would be a good opportunity for him to give the new rig a go, & good that he can go in a group.
Muzz
Bugger, I may be out that weekend, got a 40th on the saturday night. If i cant make i'll supply some marks for Evans...I may have surfaced by the time you blokes are finished the harvest. I'll join you at the ramp and help with the cleanup....depending upon the length of cellebration I may...or may not, have a beer or two
Muzz,
13th or 14th is ok with me, I'm flexible.
What time your place?
I'm waiting for Murf to get back to me regarding couple or orders I place with him, wires and crimps.
Cheers, Bondy
it seems that they may not even show up around the gold coast.
They thick off tweed in 75-85m Saturday and Sunday
were u north or south fishawn? we were straight out the front saturday and didnt lose a jig all day lol
OK,
lets try to make it happen for Saturday the 13th,
it wont be a very long outing at sea Mark, maybe you could squeeze it in in the morning
last weekend it took about 2 hours to catch an undisclosed number of jackets,
my 6 foot fish box was full.
Murf, I am sure I have contact details for you,
so I will make contact over this coming weekend.
Bondy, please send me your landline number again, and I will ring you also.
Anyone else who is interested will be most welcome, & I will share the gps mark for our destination with anyone who would like it,
its about 500mtrs north of Ballina FAD.
why does everyone look at me strange when I say I want to find them LOL
I had that problem at work today,
at lunchtime I had a box of deep-fried jackets
my supervisor just shook his head.
Muzz
Murf,
Thanks mate, I'll be waiting for them at Muzz's.
Cheers, Bondy
