Hello Muzz and Murf,
Looks like the weather has done it again for this weekend, no leatherjacket collection this weekend.
How much longer will they be around before they move out again? Last year they only stayed for a month from what I recall.
Bondy
Not looking good Bondy, has blown it's @rse off all morning here,
forecast for 30knt winds tomorrow.
As far as I as far as I know they are still here,
but the next full moon could change that.
Muzz
Hello Muzz,
Yeah, weather is shit, there goes this year. June and July is almost gone.
I'll post those hooks to you , at least you'll have them for next year
Bondy
Nah Bondy, if not for jackets,
I would still like to get you out for a trip,
Huyen is hanging for some fish, so I will be going out first chance I get.
We can work things out then.
Muzz
Muzz,
I'll be posting hooks to you Tuesday so you should get them by Friday. No cost involved.
Bondy
jackets still around?
top day out on the ocean today with my youngest daughter Jorja with a good catch of snapper, trag, pig fish, Maori cod (yes a good one caught on a live yaka meant for a King) and Pearl Perch
didn't see a Jacket but the current was running downhill pretty fast
cheers Murf
Theyre still there. We nailed a few dozen yesterday off evans but the good thing was they were very localized on certain reefs which is usually an indicator theyre getting ready to clear out. Salmon next..... Last year the jackets were around for nearly 3 months bondy.
Caught 4 or 5 out near Flat Rock today.
mattooty,
Always the way, weather comes good and jackets clear out, maybe next year.

Murf, you done well with the mixed bag of fish.
I was down at Wooyong today. only managed one tailor and bream, dinner for tomorrow.
Whereabouts are those large tailor 3.5kg models that keeps being reported in the Tweed Valley Weekly.
Mouth of the Richmond River at Ballina suppose to have a few big ones.
So to fish the Richmond River land based, I have to drive to South Ballina and track back up towards the southern wall, is that correct?
