If you are in the high-end market, I reckon it would be hard to beat a ZeeBaas for a 'submersible' SW reel. Designed principally for the surf though, as opposed to SW spin. Some good reading on Stripersonline re comparisons of the ZB, VS and Stella.

He also made a reference to WA site "Fishwrecked" - might be worth looking on there for more info.

I had a quick look when I first read what Till had written and was unable to find any negative comments about the Salina in particular. Might have to have a better look or ask him about it.

These will help!! The second link is a cracker. I've read other beauties on other sites all over the place. They are probably a good reel actually but you gotta wonder about how they have managed to cause so much trouble across the world on websites like this.

I played with one yesterday and it is several chunks of ally with the bits that dont look like a reel machined away. Looks like something that will last several generations and for $1100 it better.

I know this an old post,
But the Dealo reels where are the ducks guts in reels.
    I bought a 6000, 8000 & 12000,
Had them for years and years now, caught hundreds of kingys, Yellowfin & Bluefin on them, never been serviced in 8 years & still going strong.
Hell I havent even washed them in 8 years

What's a "Dealo reel" or was that a typo?
    Have a look here MEG.

I spoke to an owner of a fishing shop in NQ the other day, he sells all the big name brands but recommended the Penn Torque's over all the others as he repairs less of these than other brands. Anyway I'm going to try a Torque 7, Penn are going to have a sale on soon, maybe this month?

Have you considered a Fin nor Lethal 100? Got 1 a few months ago and it seems good value and has performed well so far.

Re: Tuff Tackle Diablo 10000 Reels

Most guys sold them off to others on ebay once they found out their would be no parts available

Re: Tuff Tackle Diablo 10000 Reels

    Guys.

Look at shooter1 s thread and read the Alan Hawk review. The guy knows what he is talking about.

I'm waiting to get one from ######## at the moment.

Big, heavy and probably better for bottom bashing, jigging or big lures.

    Regards, rob.

Stick with your Lethal 100. If you service it regularly, you probably won't need any parts anyway.
