    2004 spools

Is there a good benefit to going to a 2004 RCS spool?. I have found one pretty cheap and wanting to make sure the upgrade is worth the money. It is a little under half so alot more affordable then a brand newy.

Just after sensitive drag that I can fine tune to suit what im doing.I tend to find I cant find that sweet spot sometimes. Being a shallow lip should see some better casting distance but not sure if it would be noticeable. Then the other factor is can bling up the reel a touch.

Also how much line can you actually fit on them? I use 5lb power pro mostly but might be to thick to get a full spool on ?

The best way to fine tune a drag is to use a "wet carbontex drag". Use Cal's grease on them. This upgrade' also one of the cheapest that you can do to the reel, will yield the largest results of any upgrade.

Now, as for the bling, some of the RCS spools look pretty cool.

Apart from that, you can always have two spools one loaded with 5lb, one loaded with 10lb for pulling fish out of heavy strutcure.

If it is half the price, then how can you resist?????

    Regards Adam
