hi there hairypunt the stanard line is a clear intermediate w/f a SA stiper clear intermediate or a bonefish in clear intermediate or a rio clouser tropical intermediate ,dont get a coldwater line in these class of lines there to limp and you will get tangles and there not as fast to cast and i dont no about the reel you have it will catch a few fish mactuna but as longtails go you need a good reel have fun cheers chris.
