Are you kidding me? Or am I completely wrong?

I noticed the line roller on my Baitrunner 6000D had seized.
For the life of me, I couldn't get the screw undone, at least not until I stripped the screwdriver slot out of the head and resorted to drilling the head of the screw off!

Then I find this (see image):

From my limited experience, that looks a hell of a lot like blue Loctite!
No wonder I couldn't get the damn thing undone.

Now, if it was green, I'd assume it was corrosion, but this is bright blue.

Looks like I'm now up for a whole bail arm assembly, assuming that Shimano sells it like that.

I would give Shimano a call mate, that is the first bait runner poor review in my 33 year life. I recon they will solve your prob

Don't get me wrong, I love the reel it's been awesome.
But loctite on such a small, soft screw???

I'll actually pop in to the local Shimano dealer, and see what they have to say about it.

    Cheers!

I have had to have new gears in all 3 D series baitrunners I purchased last may with only half a dozen trips on each reel.... All under warranty but when you are paying almost $300 for a reel it should last more than 6 trips!

Agree with the locktight though!! I am guessing you purchased overseas and not locally?

    Mate

This is a problem with the baitrunner.
Mate I have had the same problem and the only way to fix it is to go to your local tackleshop and order a new one with screw
