what is the best place to position my downrigger on the side of the boat. Will it get in the way of other lines if too far back? I have a rear and side rod holder perhaps between the two so both or either can be used rather than the flimsy one attached to the Cannon Uni Troll 10?

i have mine mounted on the left side middle of my boat i cast out to the left of my boat hook the line into the release clip than lower the weight this way the line doesnt go near the prop put engine into gear the line pulls inline with the boat and off i go
