Carp in upper Logan/Albert River
If I'm in search of carp in the upper Logan/Albert river, where should I go to? I am currently land based but is contemplating in getting myself a kayak. I think this will also give me opportunity to scout the river for anything else as well.

Check out the defunct carpbusters, used to have a comp on the Albert, not sure where though.

Carpbusters used to have the weigh in at Beaudesert. Fished a couple of the comps and any body of water up that way will hold carp. Some land owners used to open up their farms on the weekends of the comp and might still do so.
I'm a member of Brisbane fishing and there are a couple of threads there about the local carp too.

Any freshwater section of the Albert, say from Luscombe Weir upstream, has potential for carp. Further upstream the better. Try under any fruit bearing trees that overhang the river.
