I damaged one of my pots when I snagged it on a stump and being of scottish decent was loth to purchase a new one when I have a few old pots in the shed.
The only problem is that they have either 90mm or 100mm openings.
This one is a 90. I can fit 4 fingers into the opening.

Rather than go to all the trouble of mnaking a smaller wire ring and also having to retie the cross tension cords I just thread a cable tie through the net adjacent to the existing ring and then tighten the tie till the entrance is reduced to 60mm.

Saved myself $5 and helped reduce bycatch for an outlay of a few cents for a couple of cable ties.
Cheers
Ray
Next one that I do I will experiment and reduce the entire funnel area to 60mm and see if it affects the catch rate. I have never had any bycatch caught in the funnel area but it is just a thought.
