I'm still learning in terms of bait trolling, but lure trolling for spanos I like the Mack Baits at around 6 knots. Laser Pro's also go well, but have found them slightly less durable/long lasting than the mack baits. Have had more success at 5-6kt than at 10plus.

Meant to say have caught some huge GT's and 'hoo as by-catch on the mack baits. They really go hard for em.

I agree Custaro. I have had good success with spanish on the Rapala Xrap's. I won't leave the boat ramp without having one or two in the tacklebox. Same applies for the Halco Laser pro's. Have had both work at around the six knot mark. Good luck!

Agree with previous posts, laser pros and xraps at 10-12 km/hr.

Has anyone tried the "Squidgy Bluwater Livies"? Picked up a few cheap and they look really good, expecting it to be a case of '1 strike per tail' though.
