North Fork Composites

Hi,
Im getting a nice flick stick (2-4kg) made up by gary howard on a northfork composite blank. I have heard they (North-Fork) are very nice and im very impressed with them. Just thought i would ask people opinions about them before i part with my cash just in case there are no horror stories.

With Gary Loomis involvement - you can just about put your house on it that it will be a quality blank ..... NFC's reputation is growing fast.
I did have a chat to a guy up the snowies who was flyfishing with custom made rod built on a NFC blank and he rated it ahead of the Sage SP that I was using.... So that pretty high praise.

thanks Chris. didnt know much abut them but its Gary loomis 'new' company isnt it? apparently shimano are trying to sue them for whatever reason. whats the lfc stand for?

Should have been NFC ..... Yes Gary's new business.
I would imagine that having Gary in competition to the G Loomis brand would create a headache - makes it very hard to sell off the back of brand name / his name.

Probably no different if Dick smith started off a new electronics chain - I'm sure Woolworths would try to stop him.

90% shure gary sold over the rights to Jarvis Walker to deliver his rods into all Qld stores atm.. not shure about aus wide tho?

yes he is mate. and a few other blank manufacturers also. he then builds onto them himself using quality components to make a pretty awesome fishing rod. drool!!!!
