Any body used AVET LX for livebaiting

recently bought avet lx single speed for live baiting off rocks been using mates outfit so im new to overhead reels thought ill buy my own setup seems that summer is on its way.Havent got my reel yet but cant wait till it arrives looks like a great reel any body used one for live baiting or had anything go wrong with one?Also would it handle the big girls.

I have an early model JX which is a narrow spool model of the LX and have caught mackeral up to 20kg and a few large sharks.

I use it mainly trolling large flesh baits but have used it reef fishing with 50lb braid, at which it excells.

I have had this reel for about 5 years now and apart from greasing the carbon drag washer, it has the usual grease and oiling.
These are very simple reels with a very small parts count. Built to last a long time.

Still looks like new inside and out.

thanks ive noticed alot of peolpe do grease these washers even though avet says there a dry drag im confused maybe ill just give them a really light grease every time i go out?

You don`t have to grease it every time you go out. Once a year is probably enough.
