Starlo Stix Tournament Pro max spin

    Hi
I am chasing a new spin rod for fishing points at awoonga using plastics (mostly 110mm slickrigs). I already have a shimano jewel Barra spin 5-10kg and was going to get another the same, but the starlo max spin 4-7kg caught my eye in the tackle shop the other day. It looked a bit lighter which may make it a bit more fun to fish with all day and also enable it to be used for snapper. i already have a 4000 stradic to fish on it with 30lb powerpro line.
just chasing some opinions as to the capabilities of this rod, ie is it heavy enough to fight big barra and does it have the tip for casting this weight plastic.
    thanks in advance

    Hi Aadam

I have one as a froggin / mates rod ....... Its capable - but thats as far as I rate it ( particularly the newest model - which has downgraded components ) - Spend another $100 and buy a T Curve Snapper spin

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!
