    G'day Greg,

Blown another headgasket (Number 7 in 12 months) this morning...not happy

Last time it blown between cylnders 5 and 6,. this time its blown between 1 and 2.

Another week of repair, working on rebuilding the other engine whilst I can.

    Cheers, Peter

Do you know what your doing bondy. Go get the head shaved. Head gaskets should not be changed like regular oil changes. Use genuin

    Timddo,

Yes mate, had the head machined every time. The only thing that has never been machined is the block...its all cast iron, not aluminium alloy.

Heavy as all F*** and a mongrel to work on at the best of times.

I have a spare motor that I'm rebuilding from scratch, head and block will be machined on this one.

Old motor has been bored 20 thousand o/s...head modified to use unleaded fuel, also has overhead cam with shims...not so easy as people think it is.

The other motor is stock standard and never been bored. Will inspect cylinder bore, crank and pistons to see if all good.

    Cheers, Peter

    no Idea there.
If the dam levels have risen lately they are bound to recover.
I can guarantee they are in Fairbairn dam. The dam is so large and Emerald is so sparsely populated that they will be thick as ever.
Hey Bondy, Did you get that biggen ' in the spot you told me about last month?
