Dalby - Worth taking a rod?

I have to heading out to Dalby for work for three days next week and then the same for the following two months. Is there anywhere nearby that is worth taking a fishing rod along to? I will be landbased.

    Thanks

Some good fishing for cod, yellowbelly in the condamine. Have a look at a good map there are several river crossings around Dalby, Macalister and Warra where you get easy landbased access to the Condamine River. We used to fish in the Myall creek that runs through Dalby. Northern end of town used boiled eggs for bait and usually got a fish or two. Yabbies in the river also
