Hi there chasps,
I'm Sydney based.....used to live water access only area of Pittwater (Palm beach area) for 18 years, naturally spent thousands of hours out in the paddock & up the river....but rarely ventured out the heads........Was years ago............

Am land bound now but the sea & the rolling paddock are still in my blood...have to get back out there but the technologies have all changed...and doesn't seem to matter how much I learn about current motors....I seem to find out no one really knows, there are no 'guru's' and vested interests always try to lead one astray.

I seem to be confronted with conflicting information regularly ....It nearly has me bamboozled....

I really hope I can get enough first hand experience feedback from you all, for me to make considered decisions...buying motors seems is very much a personal preference issue.....We'll see how we travel....look out for me on the post new threads....some one might set me straight on a few points and/or direct me to information..

Oh and thanks to everyone for the interesting (and some times not so interesting) chatter...its entertaining and often interesting
