    Throttle/Gearshift Cables

I am about to get new cables for my UB520 and the ones in it seem to be too long. The numbers on the cable are CC17920 which I have found on the BLA website as a 20ft cable. I want to get the TFXTREME cables as the throttles are awful to use and these cables are supposed to be the way to go for any fitting that has tight bends. Should I get 20ft ones again? Any ideas why such long cables have been fitted?

    Re: Throttle/Gearshift Cables

How have you determined that they are too long.

There should be NO sharp bends in the cable anywhere.. this will only add friction to the cables. Try and Ceep the bends to a minimum of 300mm radius for the best results.

Also there should be a loop where the cables enter the engine this will also aid performance.
