Did you used to get good readings?

How is the transducer set up?

    What power is the transducer?

Does the sounder have 200/50 Hz option? 200 at this depth should work a treat.

Do you have a gain adjustment on the sounder?

Once answered, we should be able to help!

    Cheers,

was the system installed by the supplier, or by whom?

Can you supply a photo of the transducer as attached to the boat?

    Snap,

the electronics forum has a sticky (top of the list) sounder reading, has very useful configuration information for the furuno's may not quite be your model but may help you, also has a bunch of images from really deep water off tasmania.

    Regards
    HOnda.
