Little yabba creek?
Hi there,
Dad just mentioned today that we might have a family day up at little yabba creek on the weekend.
Is this creek fishable? Will I need a permit?
I'm very foreign to fresh water fishing, so any help is appreciated.
Matt.

Re: Little yabba creek?
no permit required unlesss you fish stocked impoundments
Once a fish goes over the wall its yours if it is legal size
Two totaly protected species you may come across the lung fish and the mary river cod Not to be targeted and if cought release quickly unharmed
There is some good water to be found up there some nice pools to be found around the deer park. better if you take a small canoe
Enjoy yourselves
Cheers Tim.

There's a camping ground and picnic area in the middle of Imbil where every weekend a few bass and the odd toga are caught. Live shrimp under a float is best.

Cheers lads I'll be throwing lures I'd think, though I guess setting a small bait trap might be the go...
