    Mirage Vs Prowler

    Just getting into yakking mainly creeks and lakes there are two yaks on this site for sale a prowler13 and a mirage outback both in good nick and decked out,what would be best for a novice like myelf,all help appreciated cheers Adam.

    Mate the Hobbie outback would probably be the winner there.
    But get out and about and have a look at all the yaks you can.
    Both of those yaks will serve you well for a long time.

    Really depends on whether you want to paddle or peddle? There are pro's and cons for both. The hobies with a mirage drive do offer some advantages to the fishing yakker with a hands free operation and being able to hold position in current etc. But from a fitness point of veiw the paddling option may suit you better as the hobies take very little effort to push along and you will gain more physically from paddling. Either way it is great way to spend your spare time and you will quickly begin to appreciate the silence and stealth that being in a kayak can bring.
