The only way to get some change is in the political arena via effective lobbying and/or being directly involved in the political process. Whether we like it or not, this is where the decisions are made.
Unfortunately for us, the greens woke up to this many, many years ago. They now have a huge voice in the political process which lets them implement their ideals.
We have to defend our position in the same manner we're being attacked.
You're also right in that we have more chance of doing it ourselves.
So why do you keep pushing this wheelbarrow of us paying a licence fee and then holding hands with Sunfish, who have a proven track record of bowing to their gov't masters of the day ?
That can't get us anywhere. Sure, we might buy out a couple of pros, do a few surveys and some at the top will end with a bit of a warm and fuzzy over it, but at the end of the day, we still have no effective power in the decision making process.
That's like going cap in hand to the enemy asking for bandaids while they're firing bullets at us.
