    Thanks George.

I actually bought the sheepskins weeks ago. $149. got floor mats for $10 and $15 each.

and a dash matt...... bloody $49.... aarrgghh !

The only issue after 6000k's is the bloody static electricity.....

I am taking it to dealer tomorrow to have part installed to stop rattle from intercooler.

Drove to Rocky and back over the weekend and have to say, seats are comfy.

    cheers

    Hey Phill ,
Are they 694's youve got on those new wheels?
If so how are they going. They are on the short list for the cruiser.

Not sure, I'll have a look in the morning.

They seem to wearing OK, but only done just over 6000k's.

BTW, anyone know how to stop static electricity from zapping me everytime I get out of the car... ?

I have installed a anti-zap strap.... still getting pinged.. !!!!

I had that problem years back Phill..with a Skyline..had the zap strap on it...depended on what shoes I wore whether I got a big zap or a little zap..but never could get rid of the zaps completely.

Re: It's finally here. MY new truck

    Phill,

if the zap strap isnt working the only thing you can do is getting rid of those seat covers. You'll find that the hcarge your building up is when your ass slides across the wool seatcovers as you get out of the car then bang.......you never do get use to it no matter how often it happens. Try taking of the seat covers and trial it.

    Cheers

    They don't like traitors...maybe
What you can do is have one of those antistatic bands on the computer techs use.
One end around the wrist and the other around the towbar or something.

When you put the static strap on was it connected to shiny metal?

I have a gismo somewhere in the dungeon that should be able to measure the voltage level of static that builds up. I used it for testing overhead powerlines to see if they were dead or not...modiewark it was called.
Worked a treat on electric fences in the bush.

Sitting in Tambo this morning on the way back from the desert trip - Never been zapped so much in my life.

At night time out there I'd take off my microfibre jacket at bed time and it was like a small light show.

It's all about the weather mate.

Very simple solution to the problem, just remember to grap the metal part of the door as you slide out of your seat. Then you'll discharge into the vehicles body without the associated zap. Works everytime.

I had the same problem with my XR6 Turbo I had in 2004. I got hammered everytime I got out, and it got worse wearing different shoes. Until someone said grab the door frame before sliding out and presto! No more zaps.

Funny, even to this day I never get out without doing it, just automatic now and I'd have to say I havn't been zapped in over 5 years.
