A 2 metre black marlin got stranded in a tidal pool here in Mackay. It swam off when the tide came in.

Good thing there were no crazy NZ spearfishermen around.They wouldnt have needed a helicopter this time,just jump into the pool and start filming LOL
Read a fishing article a while ago about catching marlin in that area.The fisho was spot casting live garfish at juvi marlin with heavy threadline gear in shallow water.Looked like fun to me !!! At least the old boy got out alright.
