I have a 3 year old vhf Navman. The lead from the unit to the mic is starting to perish.
This mic lead is inbuilt to the unit.
Has anyone had the same trouble? i thought about putting electrical tape all the way along it.
Can you buy these leads and fit them yourself?
After loosing my plotter for so long i wont be sending it away..

Chris undo the lead at the mic end and run the lead through some heat shrink dont know how it will coil again but elec tape will only get messy. Never seen a replacement cable maybe try dick smith but i am guessing it will be solided into the unit.

Same thing has happen to mine
Navman have a fixed cost replacement policy
I had mine replace with a new unit for $99.00 last year
