Well, what was the figure??
We need a bit of a giggle to start the day
Was I close??
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good
Well Scott and Robbie.
They offered me less than I will accept, but that is not the end of it.
In the scheme of things, I only need what the car has ' depreciated ' to... for tax purposes. As you'll know, if I get any more for the car " on the books " I will pay tax on the " percieved profit ".
If I wanted high re-sale value I would have bought a Toy Motor.
I spoke to them again late yesteday. I feel they were testing the waters with their offer. They know the car represents a quick turn around for them.
Rub out a couple of panel dings and do a good detail and Bob's ya GF with bells on !!!!!
I might place it in the private arena for sale for a week. I hate tyre kickers though.
Overall, despite the way I drive it and it's history, the car NOW is in perfect mechanical condition, with most components renewed in the last 2 years.
The story continues...
and no Scott, 3 grand will not cut it

At Heaven's gate a soldier stood,
his story ready to tell,
St Peter said, 'no need my son all is understood,
Go right in cos you've already served your time in Hell'
chewy on ya boots, youse are all just jealous
I have just about done the deal.
I will submit my ' counter offer ' monday.
I believe I am in the drivers seat ( pun intended ) with regard to purchasing a new vehicle under the current economic climate.
My counter offer includes:-
1...an increase in THEIR trade in offer
2... a finance interest rate that reflects the current reserve bank rate
3....limited finance contract fees
4....re-jigging of options wanted
5... small cash endorsement to even up the playing field
See how we go.............?

The best thing is, I can simply walk away......
I do not need the new car that bad that I will sacrifice my economic situation.
I love being in the drivers seat while haggling

Why dont you keep it then for the weekends away ,and get a much cheaper double cab 2wd with no extras like bullbar for work? This way you get a new car that does what it suppose to do at work and a 4wd with all the goodies for fun .Just a thought.

you can make a deal phil, and then you can push one too far. and honestly i wish you the best outcome. just dont get too, cheeky. because after the sale theyWill wipe you like a dirty ass.
then every thing becomes extras, warranty work becomes a cost (don't beleive that? i see it every day!). its a 2 way street, You are better off paying a few bucks more, and getting finace through a dealer, then going in all gunns blazing. whilst you will get an optimum, deal, you will loose in the end, and, mate that is a fact. Again, i deal with New Car Franchises every day. i gota fair idea how it works
enjoy the new rig

So Phill made a purchase yet?
The wait is killing us, what have you ended up choosing.
BTW, who made your canopy for the current truck as I'm looking at changing my tub to a similar setup.
Cheers Glen,
One Life, What will you catch next!
Glen,
I made the 40mm box metal frame and ladder racks.
Had a local company bend up the colourbond for the top and auto trimmer at Rocklea do the vinyl.
I have made my mind up, but am waiting for dealer to get back to me with finance offer.
Holden Colorado. Dual cab. 3ltr Intercooled turbo diesel. Manual.
