Scott, must have 4kg bacon, how can one forget this
Daz
sorry mate, just seen it, i still say 4kg thou
Hi all, what would you add to this list to make it more typical/better for a few blokes, well enough set up (wherever there is fish) for a couple of weeks at the bush or beach.
In our instance this next trip should/might see muddies, mackerel and various reef & estuary fish to add to this list so anything that adds to them appreciated also.

sorry mate, just seen it, i still say 4kg thou
Was poor formatting but fixed now was thinking 2 kg but 4 is always better!!
tin tomatos and tin tomato paste (puree).............Vinegar
you lucky buggers,
Daz, Cool will add the puree and vinegar.
GBC , yeah porridge is a pain will delete and add tinny taters, what's the rum for... Running out of unleaded........ Might leave the others as personal foodstuffs? I don't know what twiggies are
cheers fnq
I'd be ditching the porridge - Someone's going to have to clean that pot......
I'm not seeing cooking rum on the list? Or twiggy sticks? Jerky? savoury shapes?
I'd also add tins of tuna, beans and spaghetti, tiny taters and rum.
eggs
rum
you could have instant porridge make in the bowl
rum
tomato sauce
rum
puddings would be a pain try tinned fruit and uht custard
Maybe some pancake mix - although could need a bit much to be worthwhile.
Certainly wouldn't want to be mixing it up from flour etc while camping.
What about lunches? Cold meat, cheese etc
Highly recommend:
Pasta'n'Sauce, potato, onion, whole garlic cloves for an awesome feed after a big day fishing and amber fluid. All in the one pot:
Start the potatos / onion / garlic, add pasta sauce mix with water / uht milk, 10 minutes later you have an awesome feast with some crusty bread it is even better.
Only one pot to clean for a great dinner.
Cheers.

Twiggy Sticks - bite sized dried salami beer snack doovers y'know?
Scott, can you print this out for the other guy thats going with you, he may need it........lol..........

# Find tinder. Basically, anything that is dry, fibrous, and will take a spark, or "catch" and ignite should do (pocket lint, feather down, dried mosses, and shredded plant fibers such as cedar bark, are examples).
# Gather firewood.
* Gather several handfuls of kindling, typically tiny pieces of wood in various sizes: some that are as thin or thinner than a toothpick, but longer; several handfuls of wood about the thickness and length of a pencil; and lots and lots of wood bigger than this, up to about the thickness of your arm.
* Avoid wood laying on the ground (it may be damp); instead look for snags (dead branches that have fallen off trees but get caught in lower branches or on bushes, so they aren't just laying on the damp ground).
* It is possible to snap dead branches from trees but only take those that immediately snap free; if it bends without breaking, it's still alive or not dry enough. Avoid green wood since most won't burn well at all. See the Things You'll Need section below.
# Make a nest. Use small fiber, such as cattail, to ignite the coal and slightly thicker fiber on the outside such as dry leaves to shelter the nest.Make sure you leave a hole for the coal. A cotton ball size of tinder will do.
#
Make a bow. Use slightly bendable wood for the bow. You'll be putting a lot of pressure on the bow, and dead wood is more likely to break than similarly sized green wood.
* Beginners should make a bow 1.5 to 2 feet long.
Self saucing pudding...?
Scott I didn't realize we were aiming for a 5 star experience...
and thanks Daz...for the tips on starting a fire..but I'm sure you will kindly lend me a lighter though...and I would appreciate if you would collect the cow poop to keep the midges away.....
Scott
BBQ sauce, Tomato sauce,
