Well looks like we are in. Me with the wife as navigator, and maybe the brother in law in the back seat along fo the ride.
Now, how do i make these wheels turn together...........
Where what time do we meet, anything special I should know? etc etc...do i have to get out of bed before 10am? Picnic lunch or BBQ? Hope I dont sink the bosses car...............
Let us know Wags, should make it unless the heavens open again and fill eevrything with water.
Mike
Wags,
Don't you think 1 causes enough problems?
Mike,
If I come, still not sure about it after all this rain and the possibility of going to the Mt. Cootha hill climb, I will more then likely bring the girlfriend. These trips are very family/partner friendly.

All I want is to catch MORE legal fish!
Okay, I dont have any of the following so i hope theres no water on the track. If i have my technical terms wrong feel free to correct me:
1/ No slopey gaugey thingy that tells you what angle the car is on.
2/ No tow rope
3/ No snatchy strapy thingy
4/ ACtually nothing much in the way of retreival and rescue gear.
5/ no UHF radio
Gonna be fun learning
Mike
P.S: If the day goes ahead, I hope its blowing like hell on the bay
Thats ok Mike. I dont have a slopey gaugey thingy either. I think if you need a gauge to tell you your gunna roll over, its prob too late anyway. We wont be doing anything that hardcore anyway.
I have basic recovery gear (snatch strap and shakles) but I dont expect anyone will need to be recovered. Plus Wags has an electric winch, which is the ultimate recovery tool, just in case anyone gets badly stuck.
I've think it may be best to postpone this trip as the locals use this road to get in and out of their properties. I think it would be best to not mess up their road for our sake of having a drive in the country. I'm sure there will be water in the creeks in the weeks to follow.
Cheers,
Wags
So now it's out there for another destination, same date. If the fishing's no good, I still want to go for a drive! Ideas?
Craig, I'll bet you have a few thoughts for the North side?
Cheers,
Tim
Carbon Really Ain't Pollution.
If theres no rain between now and next week, I think the roads ould dry out enough.
mmmmmm I am still in 50/50 , so let us know.
The Queen Mary Falls are great sight seeing and there are a few other falls as well. The Caravan park / camp ground at QM falls serves a great lunch
The bottom road,, from east of QM Falls to Killarney is OK, with many creek crossings, but nothing to stop a Nissan
I have found at least 2 " offshutes " that locals have made that would provide some interesting " fun ".
The Killarney hotel also has cold beer............ and on tap
