Hamilton North Shore

Myself and a couple of mates headed down to Hamilton North Shore to wet a line this arvo. We had been fishing for about two hours with a few bream coming to shore and then being released. Next minute a rather porky security guy comes over with a really crap attitude telling us to leave.

I asked him to show me the law as my understanding is that you can't own below the high water mark and I have every right to stand here and fish.
He did not like this and decided to call the cops!!! Me and my two mates fished for another 30minutes while porky and his mate sat in there car writing some S.A about us.

Anyway, I understand the 30meter rule from a working port http://www.portbris.com.au/operation...y/restrictions

But I was fishing of the beach section in front of the cafe.Can anyone help me understand the rules or am I in the right.

Oh, fogot to mention the cops didn't come. I think they have more important things to do.
