This is their web site http://www.basstasstic.com/
The dates & locations of their comps are in Bushn'Beach & Qld Fishing Monthly
Next one is on the 23/24 May at Somerset
    Try 4167 8183 if you're interested

They have a Nth section (Boondooma to Cania) and a Sth section (Boondooma down to the border). Each comp has some good prizes. Towards the end of the year they have a combined Nth & Sth comp at Somerset with a sh#t load of random draw prizes inc a Quinny boat & a Grand Final, maybe Boondooma, also with heaps of great prizes (down to 15th I think).
Costs would be on their web site but I think it's $60 to join, Kids are $10
then only $30 a round (kids $10) with 1/2 going towards the local stocking group.
It's a non proffit series run by guys from stocking groups to have some fun while putting some funds to buying more fingerlings, it's quite social and very laid back.
    Cheers

Re: SOMERSET SESSION Midyear Muster 25th July

Im guessing it will be at the Kirkleagh Campsite Simon....all my Bass fishing in Somerset were day trips and I used to put in at the Spit.....and never needed to travel any further than the dog leg Brads Banks or Red Rock......Ill decide when I get up there if Ill Camp and put in at Kirkleagh......If it's windy Ill definatedly putin at the Spit.

    Wink Re: Christmas in July

    CHRISTMAS IN JULY

    WE CAMP AT Kirkleigh!

Whitto! enough of that silly talk. Camp Somerset? Bugger that!
ol' mate you camp at Kirkleigh with the rest of the Mob!
What are you thinkin? the spit, Silly talk! drive back and forth? Nonsense
Besides did we mention we need a Santa Clause?
and well the choice seemed obvious

    Stop trimmin the sides Santa

All those interested bring a pressy in the $10 to $20 range for Santas Bag. If you put one in you get one out that simple.

If you have kiddies put one in with their name on it. Obviously you don't have to, but you explain why every one got a pressy except your kid

We camp at Kirkleigh, and we sit around the fire of knowledge and bullshit!
I will be 50 that weekend and if you are not there for a port 'ol mate you better produce a bloody Death Certificate!
I will bring the keg of gut warmer/wormer?

Don't worry about the bloody wind you get that after a good camp fire curry!
Whitto I have been there plenty, it will be bloody cold, I expect you still have a nice issued jacket/parker, bring that. The wind is not a launch issue in the bay where we camp. I will slip you
$3.20 for the extra 2 litres to get there.
