    Shimano Stella FA 8000

    chasing schematics for a stella FA 8000 around 2003 / 2004 vintage
    if anyone has some in pdf or doc format or have a link then this would be

    thanks guys, thought the sw800pg was the same as the FA 8000 released here but they are slightly different

    alan, part # 6091 and part # 8258 are both in my japanese SW8000PG
    ill include the relevant part of the schematic that iam worried about.

    alan if you are still lurking about the chat boards , after you tighten up the handle , should you be able to slidel the hand in and out of the body like as if there is a bit of movement between the gears

    Not frequently, but I check every once in a while. Will be posting some more trip reports/reel reviews before autumn

    You should feel some play, yes. It's required for the gears to function correctly. Opposite to what many think, over shimming the gears to a dead fit will make them wear quickly and a percentage of efficiency will be lost to undue friction.
