I thought the joy required induction into a special club!

    "JOY"

    They only call it that:

1: It's Free, or near to it, (it should be if it's not)

2: That was the name of the shiela they all talked to when they got on it

No Club, just a mob of cheap drunks

Sorry Sean, I know, I know..... I am stuck atm. If that weather pattern is like that next week, I reckon I can wrangle a quickie. But most likely, the week after.

I have never known how to read one of these, so the wave height, is the green leafy looking wavey thing, what is the wind speed?

    Geday Rob ,
The Arrows show the wind speed & direction .

This is from the Seabreeze`site .
Its originally set up for Surfers & so they like the swell .

You take the swell height of the left hand side & the wind speed of the right hand side of the graph .

NOTE - There is an option of changing the colours for the Arrows , so some you see posted may differ to the standard settings on Seabreeze .

    Table of wind speeds

    SymbolTermKnotskm/hBeaufort Light0 to 10 knots0-19 km/hForce 3 or less Moderate11 to 16 knots20-29 km/hForce 4 Fresh17+ knots30+ km/hForce 5 and above

The Middle of the arrow is where you should read the wind speed from the scale at the sides. Picture the arrow as being like a compass needle, where it rotates around a central point of balance.

How to read the Wind & Wave Forecast graph

Unlike the live graphs which represent part of a single day, the forecast graphs cover 7 days.
Each "forecast" arrow is three hours apart from the previous arrow, representing a forecast wind speed/direction and swell every 3 hours of the day for 7 days in advance.

    Thanks Pete.

I am sure Rob now almost understands.

I changed my arrows to Green for "GO". as per my pic. Red means Stop or No Go.

    Here ya go Rob:-

    yes, no,yes,no
As you can see I am still have not decided. It will depend on finaces.
Reason beng in July I am off to Perth and then heading back to Kalgoollie, Great central Rd to Alice, from Alice going down to Mt Dare and accross the simpson desert to Birdsville, then down the track to the Barrossa Valley, then on to Melbourne and Home. This is a 4 week trip without income (self employed) so as much as I want to come up it will depend on finaces. Odds at the moment are 50-50
    hope to see ya there
    cheers

For the blokes who are bunking with Timiboy.

    He's well trained.
My dictionary defines green as ‘unripe, immature, undeveloped'. Perfect description.

Most political parties are seen as interested in what the voters think, the Greens are seen as thinking the community should be interested in what they think.
