    Cobia on the troll

    Nice cobe caught by my mate on the weekend while trolling livies for spanyards.
    We missed out on the spanyards but happy all the same.
    Took about 45mins on 40lb mono, weighed 28kg.

    VERY NICE!!!...few decent feeds from that cracker cobe!!!...love the gaff shot ...what trolling speed were you guys doing???...where abouts did you guys fish???...what sort of depth???

    Thanks guys, we were trolling live slimy mackerel for spanyards. Troll speed was about 3 knots, we were trolling in approx. 15-20m of water. Gaff shot was a cracker in the cheek and out the eye (see pic).

    Mate that is indeed a beautiful cobia. Top eating for a few people i reckon.
