Jeremy, it looks like Minibucks has there bass electric on the same weekend and I think it was at Maroon as well. If this is the case it might be a busy weekend on that little dam. I'll try to get hold of Hockey and find out what the go is for you.
Cheers
Bill

Jeremy,
If last year is anything to go by all the entrants will have a cracker time. I don't see the surgeon till the 4th of March. All being well he will clear me to drive and I might get down to have a gecko and take some pics.
This would have to be one of the most enjoyable weekends on the fly fishing calender. It represents an excellent oppertunity for both experienced and newbee flyfisher to get together to enjoy bass on fly in great surroundings.
With two of your trophies on the wall from last year it will be interresting to see how the results unfold. One things for certian, there will be lots of laughter, bravado and story telling on the water and around the table at night. The quetion is will Denise get acroos the line by a scale this year. Only time will tell.

Fly rods were made to bend!
I will be in this one, sounds like good fun.
Chris it's not our home turf [uhh lake.] It's some where in between us.
Fished it once some very nice snags in them, it will be nice to catch up with you guys.
Jeremy
Had a call from a mate who has owned a fly outfit for a few years now and has used it in anger maybe three times. He was beside himself when he called. Four healthy bass on surface at first light at Maroon. Good agressive takes be the sounds of it. Watch out for Vinces super poppers that weekend. You will hear them being slurped of the surface like pea and ham soup on a cold winters day.
If the fish gods are happy and with the great facilities at lake camp fire it has all the neccessary ingredients for a cracker weekend.
Will give it my best shot to get there for some of the weekend. Will be seeing the specialist on the 4th.

Jeremy,
Glad to hear that things are going well for the bass on fly weekend. The word on the grapevine is you have achieved an increase in support for the event and the trophies are even better than last year. Didn't think that was possible.Well done.
With Maroon fishing ok for fly across the surface and deeper water the results will go down to the wire again this year. It makes for interesting times when the results are up for grabs by new and seasoned fly fishers on the weekend.
Still shooting to make it out for at least some of the weekend.
Jeff.

It will be very nice to see you there , hope you can make it.
Thanks Mate,
I won't be camping over but will be get up to see how your supper popper is performing on saturday. In the hands of the popper master the bass will be hot for surface slurpies.
