fishing for redclaw
hey
I am planning a trip to various dams trying to get amongst a few redclaw, i have never really targetted them before and I am not sure what to look for as far as where to set pots or what bait to use, if anyone has any hints or advice it would be much appreciated..

Set your pots in 6 to 10 feet of water. If you can give them several hours before lifting them.
For bait I'd try half boiled potatoes, chicken bones or a can of cat food with a few holes punched in. watermelon or rockmelon rinds can also be effective.

PS I'm sure a search on this site using "redclaw" should provide you with a stck of info.
