best to use mono for walk the dog ???

Hi guys

been doing some research on retrieve techniques such as walk the dog, a number of places have suggested not to use fluro carbon or braid but to connect it straight to mono as its a heavier line helps the walk the dog action

interested to hear your thoughts about that , also is best to use a baitcaster for this sort of fishing

Def a spin if you are using surface lures for bream and flatties, some may use a baitcaster but spin is so much better and easier. Yer fluro sinks so mono is better for using surface lures, although you can still use fluro. The best leader i have found for surface lures is yamatoyo fighter pro line leader.

Easy one - very short length of stiff Mono because it floats and better action on the lure, stiff and floating so that it doesn't fold under the trebles either.

Spin tackle so you can get a longer cast out over shallow flats, even though the purists (bass fishing) like to walk the dog with baitcasters.
