what conditions would you take a yak offshore

    Hi Guys

looing to start taking the yak into the open water but not sure where to draw the line regarding wind and swell.

I have a hobie outback and am looking for feedback on what others would consider unsafe to go out on

Mostly it would have to be less than .7m and hopefully less than 20 knots for a yak. Current strength and wind directions are the biggest factors rather than sloppiness. It is hard to battle against a wind and current trying to get back home.
