5 metre tiger shark off Bribie surf beach

I heard a report that a 5 metre tiger shark was taken off woorim beach a couple of nights ago and was just wondering if anyone can confirm this and maybe has a picture of the beast.

I dont have much info i overheard the conversation whilst purchasing my new years eve refreshments. It was two of the bottleshop attendants she also said a large hammerhead was also caught.

Most likely it would be the shark netters off Woorim if it is true. 5m long tiger is one that has earnt his retirement IMHO.

Channel 9 have just run a short ad for a big shark caught. Just a quick view of the shark but it looked to have a good set of jaws on it. They said it was caught by an amateur fisherman. I will be watching a 6pm with interest. Not sure it is this tiger shark at Bribie Island or not.

Channel 9, it was a 3m bronzie, caught in port phillip bay. Nothing spectacular

From the conversation i heard it sounded like it was taken of the beach by an angler. I should have asked her myself but i didnt really think much of it until i got home and thought about it as i swim there and maybe i wont go out so far anymore.
