    Jumpinpin Bar

I haven't been across this bar before, but am looking at running over it after the spaniards and marlin off shore. Can anyone advise on it's current condition and navigation.

    Thanks

I personally think it's pretty good , the channel is fairly stable in it's position and easily identified and it's not that long ! If your used to bars you'll be happy with this one! The channel runs a little south of east from the sth end of nth stradbroke island!

just go where there isnt any whitecaps thats how i go through it but there seems to be a channel that runs along south straddy which seems deep but may go side on to the swell at times.

Thanks for that guys, useful info. Eventually took the punt on the weather holding up further north and went through South Passage. Started out short and sharp and became a mill pond. Also picked up a few Snaps so a reasonable day.
